Frank "Turtle Man" Monaghan, as he was known, was an avid IASCA competitor in the early years of the organization. Frank passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011at the Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Georgia.

 

He was born October 8th, 1944 in Bronx, New York and had resided in Camden County for the poast six years.

 

Frank wa sretired from Continental RV, an RV dealershipin the area. He was also a former competitive body builder and car audio competitor, placing third in National competition. For many years, he was employed with the ASPCA at Kenedy Airport, where he handled exotic animals. Frank was also well known in the county for his excellent abilities in detailing vehicles.

 

He was a member of Our Lady Star Of The Sea Catholic Church and a member of Steffen's and Dooly's morning coffee clubs.

 

A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady Star Of The Sea Catholic Church at 12 Noon on Thursday, July 14, 2011, with Father Gabe Cummings officiating.

 

Survivors include his wife Carol of Kingsland, and sister Carol Scelzo (Robert) of Franklin Square, NY.

 

IASCA Worldwide and its family extend their deepest condolences to Frank's family.
